Contour Line Drawing (outline and major details)

Day 1:

  1. Select an Object.
    1. Study it from all sides. Look at the angles and curves.
    2. Do a blind contour of your object for 30 seconds (at least one time).
    3. Drawing it on practice paper – get familiar with it.
    4.  On your final paper:
      1.  Draw your object at least 5 times in different perspectives and sizes with some going off the page. Tip: Start drawing lightly and then go over darker when you know you want to keep the lines.
      2. Have at least 3 areas of overlapping.

By the end of the period today, you should have your subject outlined in marker and have started drawing your “ZEN”tangle patterns. Fine and Extra Fine Sharpies are on the back counter. Please make sure they get returned before you leave.

Reminder: Your identity grids are due this Friday.
