Background: The Surrealist Artists invented an drawing/creativity game where one person starts a drawing then passes it to the next person to add on without knowing what the first drawing was. They believed this was an important part of the creative process and allowed the freedom to experiment.
Your Mission: Create a Top, Middle, and Bottom Portion focusing on texture. The bottom does not necessarily have to be a “feet”, it could be tree roots, a brick building, etc. Brainstorm a list of texture objects you are drawn to/ find interesting. (examples: Brick building, fish scales, antennae, teeth)
You will be assessed by your creativity, texture, details.
With your 6”x9” paper horizontal:
Top: at the bottom of your paper, make a 3” mark and another at 6”- your drawing should end here.
Middle: at the top of your paper, make a 3” mark and another 6” mark- your drawing should begin here. At the bottom of your paper, make a 3” mark and 6” mark – your drawing should end here.
Bottom: at the top of your paper, make a 3” mark and another 6” mark – your drawing should begin here.
