Zentangle Project
Introduction
Zentangles are “purposeful doodles” and utilize repetition of line and shapes
and a variety of thickness and sizes. Because of the amount of details and
concentration Zentangles require, they are said to put the artist into a state
of Zen or meditation.
1. You can either:
A. Create a silhouette/detailed drawing of a subject of your choice
B. Write a quote/verse from song lyrics
2. Then you will create a unique Zentangle design either in the background of the image,
inside your chosen subject, or integrated in both.

Assessment: Repetition of lines and shapes, variety of sizes and thicknesses of lines,
the detail and complexity of the work, and at least two original pattern creations. This project will be worth 100 points.
